There is NOTHING, no summer food, no barbecue or potluck favorite, literally no other summer food that makes me as happy as a BBQ Sundae. While my husband was traveling a few years ago, he tried a barbecue sundae in a restaurant. He described the meal to me, and I couldn’t even imagine it. So, naturally, I had to recreate it as soon as possible for myself.
Once I wrapped my brain around all of the different foods piled on a plate or in a jar, I realized this was going to be amazing. Sweet and Tangy Pulled Pork, the best ever Slow Cooker Baked Beans, and Southern Style Coleslaw? That combination is a winner in pretty much any form.

I’ve built these sundaes with just about every batch of pulled pork I’ve made in the time since I first tried them. Green Chile Pulled Pork, Slow Cooker Carnitas, the original Sweet and Tangy Pulled Pork, store-bought pre-made pulled pork from the refrigerated section at the store. However you get your hands on pulled pork, I highly recommend that you make these sundaes. My whole family (and every friend we’ve introduced to this combination) adores this meal. I typically pile the sundaes on paper plates for a super easy dinner night, but it thrills my kids any time I serve the sundaes in mason jars. Pretty foods always taste better, right?
