You can eat this Farali Pattice with sweet curd, green chutney or peanut and ginger chili chutney. I like Farali Pattice with peanut chutney. Later in this recipe, I have shown how to make peanut chutney. The pattice is traditionally fried but being a lover of healthy non-fried food, I am sharing the procedure to make Farali Pattice in APPE PAN. You may fry this pattice to suit your taste. But believe me, you won’t get any taste difference-making pattice in Appe Pan.
How to make Farali Pattice?
For stuffing
- Take all the stuffing mixture into a big mixing bowl. Mix them very well. Keep it aside.
For Outer part
Take Potatoes, ginger chili paste, salt and arrowroot. Mix them well.
Divide the potato mixture and the stuffing mixture into equal portions.
Flatten a portion of the potato mixture into a circle and place a portion of the stuffing in the center.
Bring together the edges in the center to seal the stuffing and shape it into a round.
Roll the pattice in the arrowroot flour, evenly coat from all the sides.
Heat Appe pan. Apply some oil. Place the pattice. Cook pattice from both the sides over a medium to low heat until they turn brown in color.
