Is there anything more delicious than homemade ice cream on a warm summer night? I really don’t think there is. I served this Berry Ice Cream over brownies with extra berry sauce the first time I made it and the chocolate and berry combination was fantastic.
However, the ice cream is absolutely delicious on its own in a cone or in a bowl. The most popular question I get is whether it’s possible to make ice cream without a machine. The answer is YES. You can make ice cream without a machine. Find the full directions here!
Favorite Ice Cream Recipes
As evidenced by the slew of ice cream recipes here on the website – 62 at last count – I love ice cream. I love homemade ice cream, grocery store ice cream, artisan ice cream, gelato, and frozen yogurt. Did I mention I love ice cream? Years ago, I started a hashtag for #icecreameverydaydiet on Instagram, just because I was sharing so many ice cream photos. When traveling, one of my favorite things to do is check out the local ice cream options. When I’m home? My first ice cream choice is always going to be the newest flavor I’ve dreamed up. Espresso Ice Cream, Cafe con Leche Ice Cream, and Dark Chocolate Orange Ice Cream were inspired by our trip to Montreal. Lemon Sorbet and the Dirty Banana were both inspired by cruises. Brownie Berry Ice Cream is swirled with the marionberry preserves that I picked up in Portland, OR while on a trip with my friend Christi. (If marionberry jam isn’t available where you are, this ice cream will be delicious with any berry jam that you love.) Tart and sweet Roasted Rhubarb Ice Cream is the flavor combo my taste buds crave. I love anything with a sweet contrast.
