He asked me to post the recipe after my sister Jenny made one for him while we were visiting last week.* He is probably hoping I’ll start making this one for him at home. I laughed a couple times as I was writing this post, because after doing a bit of research it appears that there are a number of opinions on the proper way to make an old-fashioned. All I know is that Sean and Jenny both approve of this version and that makes it a win for us.

Have you heard of Milk Punch? This old-school cocktail is made with bourbon, whisky, or brandy. It is a very lightly sweetened drink that starts with milk and half-and-half, it’s flavored with hints of vanilla and nutmeg.

  • Please Note: This is not a drink for the weak. I am not a fan of the Old Fashioned. However, I realize that my beloved Coconut Lemon Sour isn’t for everyone. So, this is for those of you that might lean more towards savory cocktails over the sweet ones.
