Why. Why are chocolatey skillet-baked dessert things so easy to make? Sounds counter-intuitive but they make my life harder. Because I have no self control! How can I resist eating the entire thing? I mean, it’s just one big brownie so I can say afterwards, “Oh I ate a brownie…”. But let’s be honest. You and I know it’s more like ten brownies. Ten delicious, fudgey, chocolatey, gooey brownies. If you’re like me, and have no self control around fudge-y gooey chocolatey dessert things, you should invite someone to make this with you. Or at least have them plan to arrive around the time it’s coming out of the oven so that you don’t have to deal with the baker-brownie-stare down. My favorite way to have a skillet cookie or brownie is to eat it while it’s still warm from the oven, topped with a big (or several big) scoops of creamy vanilla ice cream. Ahhhhhh, do it! Yum, yum, double-yum. And if you “accidentally forget” to invite someone to share this with you, it’ll be our little secret.
